Barbour Family - Black Barn Tarawera

Sometimes when you meet people you know you just want to photograph them. That was the case when I met Glenn, Shelley and their three gorgeous children. At the end of last year Shelley contacted me to ask about doing some family photos for them, I was super excited!! Glenn and Shelley own Black Barn Tuahiwi in Lake Tarawera, Rotorua. It is an amazing wedding venue so it was the perfect place to have some family photos taken. Secretly between you and me this is the place I've wanted to get married at since it was opened!Trelise is adorable! She has a cheeky but sweet personality and is super photogenic (but then again they all were). Jonty had so much energy! I had a hard to keeping up with him. He's definitely a boys boy and loved throwing sticks and building things. Hugo was a darling, it was his nap time but you couldn't really tell, (except in a few photos). He had the cutest laugh and gorgeous big blue eyes!!!We explored the pine trees at first (and tried not to fall down the hill).Like father, like son ❤️I love this photo of Glenn and Hugo as you can tell the resemblance between them so much!"Shhh... don't tell anyone dad, that's a secret"We even started hut building! So much fun! Then we ran through the long grass... Trelise is a farm kid but because she didn't have her gumboots, Shelley had to carry her while Glenn carried both the boys (Muscle man).We even encountered some spectators! Jonty told the coolest stories! The one photo that we had to get was the GORGEOUS panorama shot with the tree to the right and the lake behind them, it matches Glenn and Shelley's wedding photos... just a few years later with a few added extras ❤️.Venue: Black Barn Tuahiwi
